It’s Christmas week, which means that it’s not an especially exciting week for gigs. Instead you can view it as a bit of a breather before the inevitable chaos of Hogmanay. Never mind though, because there’s at least one worthwhile thing happening this week, and that’s the unexpected takeover of George Square by Bloc+ who bring with them a trio of excellent acts, namely Vasa, Fat Goth and Patricia Panther. Vasa alone are worth heading along to the formerly red square for, having impressed with their support slot before Deafheaven a few months ago. While not exactly festive, there’s nothing like the gift of great music, and it’s free!
Anyway, that’s it from me for this year. It’s been a pleasure. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and all the rest of it.
See you in 2014!
