Ever since the horrendous events of last weekend, the Glasgow music community has been pulling together to put on a series of benefit concerts, with 100% of the profits raised by being donated to families of those affected by what happened, as well as the emergency services to recognise their fantastic response.
Originally this post was just looking at the “Clutha Benefits Weekend” arranged by Events for Charities, from the 3rd to the 5th of January, however since hearing about this dozens of other gigs and events have sprung up throughout December and January, so it would only be right to try and summarise them all. As more and more acts and venues are being constantly confirmed, you may want to keep an eye on the official Facebook page to make sure you’ve got the latest details.
Read on for full listings of all confirmed events. Many of these do not have acts confirmed yet, however we will fill in this information as we receive it. As GOG understands it, all of the acts performing will be waiving their regular fees to ensure more money makes its way to the victims and their families.
